Friends of the William and Anita Newman Library
The Friends are individuals and organizations that share an interest in the growth and future of the Newman Library. The goal of the Friends program is to promote awareness of the library and encourage gifts, endowments, and bequests to strengthen the library's collections. Applications are reviewed and membership is granted based on the need to use the specific collections and services of the Newman Library, as well as demonstrated commmitment to contribute to the goals of the Friends program. The number of members at any point in time must be limitred to ensure sufficient seating for Baruch College students. Please allow 2 weeks for the review of an application.
NOTE: No new applications will be accepted until June 1, 2016 after final examination period ends.
Benefits of Individual Membership
|Friend ($250 per year):||Library access & subscription to the library newsletter.|
|Patron ($400 per year)||All the benefits listed above, plus:
Invitations to library events such as readings, discussions with authors, and exhibition openings.
|Benefactor ($600 per year):||All the benefits listed above, plus:
Ability to attend library workshops.
|Sponsor ($800 per year)||All the benefits listed above, plus:
Membership, including access and borrowing privileges, is not transferable. Partial-year membership at prorated a fee is not available. Membership fees are accepted in cash only. During and immediately preceding examination periods, access to the library is restricted to students of the City University of New York. These restricted periods will be posted in the library. Corporate membership is also available by special arrangement.
