THE BERNARD M. BARUCH COLLEGE
OF
THE CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK
17 LEXINGTON AVENUE – NEW YORK, N.Y. 10010
673-7700
OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
May 7, 1970
To the Students of Baruch College:
I want to state my admiration for the way in which the students and faculty of Baruch College yesterday conducted a fitting and Moving memorial to the victims the tragic massacre at Kent State University. It is clear that the solemnity and thoughtful eloquence of the service sprang from a profound and sincere sorrow both for the victims and for the national tragedy that their deaths epitomize. I also want to express my own solidarity our students and faculty and all others , in the nation, who deplore the waste of human life by the twin tragedies -- both at Kent State and Southeast Asia -- and the indiscriminate and excessive use of force that both represent.
