ADMISSION

Admission Requirements

Please note that acceptance into the Baruch College Honors Program is selective. It is based upon grades, letters of recommendation, a personal statement, prior community service activities, and evidence of commitment to the objectives of the Honors Program. In the case of high school applicants, SAT scores, high school grades, and other factors are also taken into consideration.

Admission to the Honors Program directly from high school

Entering freshmen are accepted into the Baruch College Honors Program either as University Scholars [Macaulay Honors College] or as Baruch Scholars. All Scholars are supported with four-year full-tuition scholarships, intensive advisement, an enriched education, an active honors community, and a number of other benefits.

Prospective freshmen who wish to pursue honors at Baruch College must complete the Macaulay Honors College application and submit all supporting information [SAT scores, high school transcript, letters of recommendation]. It is not necessary to submit CUNY's general admission application.

Further information about the Macaulay Honors College is available through its website: http://www.cuny.edu/honorscollege and through many high school guidance offices.

Inquiries about the Baruch College Honors Program may be directed to Baruch_Honors@baruch.cuny.edu or 646-312-2120.
