International Admissions hosts a Meet and Greet on May 11, 2016
Over 100 attendees, including 16 international alumni, attended Baruch College’s most recent “International Meet and Greet” in the Vertical Campus. Coordinated by the International Admissions team, along with support from Alumni Relations, the event was a great opportunity for recently admitted international students to come to campus and interact with current, international students, as well as international alumni living and working in the New York City area.
The international alumni represented Brazil, Jamaica, China, Israel, India, Japan, Indonesia, Italy, Albania, and Bangladesh. They introduced themselves, eagerly shared their Baruch stories and were happy to answer questions about their academic programs and life after Baruch from the newly admitted and current students. Many of the alumni were working for large corporations in finance, accounting and compliance and credited their Baruch professors and courses with providing a solid foundation. The group included an entrepreneur with his own company, a marketing master’s graduate now working as a producer at a prominent, Japanese broadcasting corporation and another business major who segued into law enforcement.
