MAKING THE RIGHT START                                     SPRING 2005

THE TWO-PART ORIENTATION

To help you make a smooth transition to College life, we require all incoming students to participate in a two-part orientation. The two-part orientation includes a virtual component, the Baruch CD-ROM, and an actual one, a brief on-site advisement and registration orientation called " Making the Baruch Connection." There, advisors will work with you to discuss your first semester at the College. You will learn about the different degree requirements and how the courses you take in your first semester will be applied to these requirements.

PART ONE: Baruch Electronic Orientation CD-ROM

The CD-ROM presents an overview of:

    • academic programs
    • electronic learning
    • library resources and other facilities
    • career services and other support services
    • student life
    • pre-registration (required documentation and evaluation, registration procedures, financial aid)

ands offers tips for College success!

PART TWO: On-Site Advisement and Registration Orientation-"Making the Baruch Connection"

    RESERVATIONS FOR ORIENTATION

In the upcoming weeks, we will send you an invitation to orientation with the date and time you are to attend. We will also send you the Baruch Electronic Orientation CD-ROM under separate cover.
