As outlined in the official CUNY Policy on Research Misconduct, the President of each College within the University has designated a Research Integrity Officer (RIO) to receive allegations of Research Misconduct involving faculty, staff, and/or post-doctoral associates at the College. Alan J. Evelyn, Director of Sponsored Programs and Research, is Baruch College's RIO. The RIO may be contacted at: rio@baruch.cuny.edu

The responsibilities of the RIO include the following: (1) receiving allegations of Research Misconduct involving faculty, staff, and/or post-doctoral associates at the College, (2) making preliminary evaluations of the allegations and recommendations to the President as to whether an Inquiry into the allegations is warranted, (3) serving as a member of the Inquiry Staff to determine whether a formal Investigation of the allegations is warranted, and (4) attending to various administrative tasks in the course of the Inquiries and Investigations at the College.

In addition to the above responsibilities, each RIO is in charge of providing training to faculty, staff, and/or post-doctoral associates at the College to foster a research environment that adheres to highest ethical and moral standards.
