Emergency Information and Closings

If bad weather or other circumstances force cancellation of classes or school closing at Baruch College, there are several ways to stay informed.

Check the Baruch College website: an alert will be posted on the homepage if the college is closed.

Check your email: the College will send notice to all faculty, staff, and students as soon as a decision has been made to close the college.

Subscribe to CUNYAlert: you will receive a text message and email form CUNY Alert when the school is closed: Click here to sign up.

The announcements will also be posted on the CUNY web site at www.cuny.edu, will be made available through 311, and be included as a recorded message on Baruch College's switchboard at 646-312-1000.

If classes are canceled, all staff, except those designated as essential to provide emergency coverage, are released without charge to leave balances.

The Security Office (646) 660-6000 is open 24 hours a day; the College switchboard (646-312-1000) will also be staffed for emergency coverage.

When changing condition require early closing during the workday, an alert will be posted on the Baruch homepage, and an email blast will be sent to all faculty, staff, and students.
