The Center for Nonprofit Strategy and Management of the School of Public Affairs presents the seminar "Engaging the Community."

Ilana Berger,Co-Director, Families United for Racial and Economic Equality (FUREE), and Sondra Youdelman, Executive Director, Community Voices Heard (CVH), discuss their organizations' missions, strategies and accomplishments, and share ideas and lessons from community organizing. They introduce various tools for organizations: outreach and mobilization; issue identification & needs assessment; leadership development; advocacy and organizing; and grassroots-driven research.

James Krauskopf, Director of the Center for Nonprofit Strategy and Management, introduces the speakers.

The event takes place on October 25, 2007, at 135 East 22nd Street, Room 301.
