ECO 1001 Micro-Economics
3.0 Hours; 3.0 Credits

The theory of pricing and distribution under various marketing conditions. Government intervention in the market. Comparison of free enterprise with alternative, existing economic systems.

Baruch Common Core (for students who entered Baruch prior to Fall 2013): This course satisfies the Tier II Economics requirement.

CUNY Pathways at Baruch (for students who entered Baruch Fall 2013 or later, or who “opt-in” to CUNY Pathways): This course is not part of the CUNY Pathways core, but it is required in the pre-Business core and for SPA majors.

The department offers special sections of this course to highly qualified students. Department permission for registration in these special sections is required.
