PAF 9306 Human Capital Management for the Educational Leader 3 hours; 3 credits

In order to develop human capital in schools? in particular to strengthen the talent of the teacher workforce? districts must effectively recruit, hire, assign, train, organize, evaluate, and pay teachers. This case-based course provides students with the hands-on, practical experience of developing the talent of a district's teachers. In the process, we will study the best practices of districts around the country.

It is highly recommended that students have taken coursework in organizational theory and education policy. Students lacking this grounding may be assigned additional reading.
