Baruch's 48th Commencement - May 30, 2013
Baruch College hosted its 48th commencement exercises for the first time in Citi Field on May 30, 2013. Baruch College President Mitchel B. Wallerstein conferred the degrees of the 5,732 undergraduates and graduates, of which 2,828 participated in the ceremony. Award-winning Financial Times journalist Gillian Tett was the keynote speaker and received the honorary degree of Doctor of Letters. Retired U.S. Army General and Entrepreneur Wesley K. Clark was presented the honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters. Fanta Conde, from The Bronx, was Valedictorian and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Investments. Linda Haviv, from Brooklyn, was Salutatorian and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.
