Campus Operations is overseen by Lisa Edwards, Assistant Vice President. The department is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, repair and alteration of the college’s physical plant and safety. Campus Operations also serves as the college’s advocate at The City University of New York (CUNY) and The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) for capital projects on behalf of the college. Administration for Campus Operations and Receiving are directed by Frank Antonucci. Administration prepares and monitors the annual budget, is responsible for all purchasing for Campus Operations and handles the many administrative activities that are associated with the physical plant.
Buildings and Grounds is directed by Ilya V. Ashmyan and is responsible for physical operations, major and minor repairs and the maintenance of six Baruch College buildings and grounds including the operation of heating boiler plants, refrigeration plants, other mechanical equipment and Custodial Services. 120 Employees combined in eleven professional trades provide a safe and effective operation of the existing facilities to insure a tolerant and stimulating educational environment.
The office of Environmental Health, Safety & Risk Management (EHSRM) which is under the direction of Fran Erlitz, strives to provide a healthy and safe environment at Baruch College through the cooperative efforts of the entire College community. This is accomplished through various initiatives and programs the office oversees using federal, state and city regulations as guidelines pertaining to environmental and occupational health and safety issues. EHSRM achieves this though facility audits and investigations, training programs and other means to identify and educate the College Community on EPA and OSHA/PESH issues.
Facilities Planning, Design and Construction is supported by the Senior Project Manager, Campus Architect, Interior Designer and Project Coordinator. The department is responsible for the College's planning, design and construction projects for space enhancements and renovations. Facilities also prepares the annual capital plan that is submitted to CUNY, manages the College's space management program and signage.
