Curriculum and Program Benefits
The Wall Street Careers Program has a two-semester curriculum. The focus of the first semester is to develop students' communications and leadership skills via intensive executive leadership and business communication training. For the second semester, students will gain the necessary technical and business skills by participating in training on finance resume writing, interviewing, valuation, Excel mastery, financial modeling and dining etiquette. In addition, the Program also arranges for office visits to major financial institutions and networking receptions with key industry professionals. As part of the curriculum, students receive a free subscription to The Wall Street Journal and are asked to read the paper on a daily basis.
Students in the Program benefit from intensive training and being matched up with two mentors, one who is a Baruch alumni currently working on Wall Street, and one who is a WSCP senior. Resumes of WSCP students are included in the Baruch College Wall Street Careers Program resume book, which is submitted to decision makers in the industry for consideration for front-office finance internships.
