During the fall and spring approximately 300 companies(click here for our partial list) send corporate recruiters to interview students at Baruch. Prior to company visits, the CDC posts jobs on STARR Search. Students can then apply online (see below for eligibility requirements). Companies review student resumes and select interview candidates. Selected students then sign up on STARR Search for interview times and meet with recruiters on campus. Some companies contact students directly to set up appointments and interview candidates at their location.
All graduating students are encouraged to participate in the on-campus recruiting program. We recommend that students get involved with the On-Campus Recruiting Program as early as the summer prior to their senior year, since employers often make job offers months in advance of the student's graduation date. The CDC works hard to attract high quality employers to our campus and recruiters are eager to meet our well-trained Baruch students.
Eligibility Requirements
In order to participate in the on-campus recruiting program students must meet the eligibility requirements listed below AND attend a Mandatory OCR (On-Campus Recruiting) Workshop (see below for details on the workshop).
- If you are graduating in the SPRING or SUMMER (May, June, or August) you are eligible for On-Campus Recruiting (OCR):
- The Fall semester BEFORE you graduate;Your LAST semester (which is Spring) and;
- One semester AFTER (which is the Fall).For example, if you are graduating in May or August 2007, you are eligible for OCR in Fall 2006, Spring 2007, and Fall 2007.
- If you are graduating in the FALL (December or January) you are eligible for On-Campus Recruiting (OCR):
- Your LAST semester (which is Fall);
- The semester AFTER (which is Spring).For example, if you are graduating in January 2007, you are eligible for OCR in Fall 2006, and Spring 2007.
We recommend that students take the On-Campus Recruiting Workshop as early as the summer prior to their senior year so that they are sure not to miss any important application deadlines.
