Two Students Named NextGen Leaders
Jou-Man Huang ’11 and Giovanna Romero Gil, ’11 have been selected NextGen leaders by the American Humanics Program. Huang, a student at the Weissman School, and Gil, a SPA undergraduate, were selected from an applicant pool of 150 students representing forty-three colleges. As future leaders in the non-profit sector, winners of the NextGen award complete competitive 300-hour internships, for which they receive generous stipends.

The American Humanics program dates back to 1948. It was established to help prepare a racially and ethnically diverse group of students to assume leadership positions in the non-profit sector. Since it was established at Baruch College, several dozen students have taken advantage of the Humanics curriculum.
