The Baruch Fine & Performing Arts Department presents “Attempts On Her Life”, Martin Crimp’s groundbreaking experimental play written in 1997 and first produced by the Royal Court Theater, Britain’s leading national company dedicated to new plays by innovative playwrights from the United Kingdom and around the world.
“Attempts On Her Life” revolves around Annie, the quintessential “other.” Throughout the course of the play, various people perceive her in different ways. Questions are asked … is she an artist, is she a physicist, is she a mother, or is she a terrorist? Is she alive or dead? The most striking element of the play is that one person’s voice is never heard. It is Annie’s voice.
Don’t miss this interesting play that was hailed by the critics when it was first produced in 1997.
