Event Description With the election of Barack Obama as President in 2008, the claim that America is now a post-racial society has gathered force. Are we truly beyond race?
Guest speaker Lawrence D. Bobo, Professor of Sociology at Harvard, examines how our identities, our national politics, the growth of a black middle class, and challenges faced by Hispanic and Asian Americans cast serious doubt on the triumphalism of the post-racial narrative.
