Event Description

Dr. Blauman will speak of the novels from Dominican writer Julia Alvarez. "Saving the World" and "How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accent". We will hold a discussion of women's social issues in the Dominican Republic and Latinas in the US. We will raffle off two books for the audience.
