Event Description:
International visiting scholar Patrick M. Crittenden advised the Australian Federal government on development of their national audit scheme and has consulted to real estate owners as they have conducted energy audits and delivered on reporting obligations under the legislation. Patrick has also recently completed research into the critical success factors that have enabled the most successful real estate firms in Australia to achieve 25-35 percent reductions in energy efficiency across their building portfolios over the past five years.

Patrick is also Director of Sustainable Business Pty Ltd, a management consultancy that he founded in 1997. Patrick has partnered with corporate and government clients on projects that span climate change strategy, training and education and government policy development. His approach is highly collaborative and involves the design and facilitation of multi-stakeholder processes that result in actionable solutions. He is currently conducting PhD research, at the University of Technology, Sydney, into strategic change practices for energy efficiency and climate change in business with a focus on the commercial real estate sector.
