Technology continues to change the way we analyze companies and make investment decisions. Today, every public company listed in the U.S. reports their financial statement data in XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language). That means that corporate financial data, even the details embedded in footnotes, is more accessible, timely and accurate than ever before. But most analysts and investors have not yet begun to tap into the power of XBRL and many other emerging technologies.
