Our evening of 18th century French music takes its title from François Couperin’s witty caricature pieces satirizing, among other things, ‘menestrandise’ (minstrelsy) and the activity of the Parisian Guild of Minstrels. The program will include character pieces, dances, and sonatas of Marin Marais, François Couperin, J.-P. Rameau and Charles Dieupart.
