The purpose of US-Africa Ambassadorship is to develop the self-confidence and build the self-esteem of young African women. In addition this program strives to uplift, inspire, and promote ambitions and aspirations of young African women and uphold the African culture and identity.
This year, 12 young women representing diverse African cultural heritages will compete for the prestigious titles of US-Africa Ambassadors 2012.
Seven jury comprises of young professionals, community and religious leaders, businessmen and women, civil society and scholars will select the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Ambassadors through a comprehensive set of activities that includes group choreography, talent and artistic presentation, individual interview, platform presentation, and live debate.
In addition, guests expected at this unique event will view a short documentary on activities implemented by priors ambassadors, enjoy the showcasing of African clothing design, and listen to traditional African drums and rhythms.
