Description:
The Heritage Ensemble is a quintet devoted to the concert performance of Hebraic melodies arranged in various jazz, Afro-Cuban, and Brazilian styles. The ensemble for this year's Chanukah concert at Baruch College includes guest artist, multi-Grammy nominee drummer Bobby Sanabria. The Heritage Ensemble recently performed at the historic Eldridge Street Synagogue and the Dizzy Gillespie Auditorium at the Baha'i Center.
The concert will include special arrangements of Moaz Tsur, the Dreidel Song, The Latke Song, and Sevivon, in addition to selections from the group's usual repertoire.
The quintet (piano, acoustic bass, saxophones, drums, and Latin percussion) brings to Baruch a Chanukah Holiday Concert for all ages. Bring the family!
