A screening of the 1949 film by Joseph Seiden, based on the play by Jacob Gordin in honor of the author’s 100th yortsayt. A wager between G-d and Satan has dire consequences in this allegory about the material world’s false promises. This film has been restored by The National Center for Jewish Film.
