How to Order a Desktop Computer, Notebook or Printer for the College

Regardless of the source of funds, employees of the college should use the New York State IT Aggregate Purchase Initiative for items purchased on behalf of the college.

New York State has negotiated extraordinary discounts and each purchase helps the college meet its annual productivity savings target.

All orders must follow the college's purchasing procedures.

The BCTC will only service desktop and notebook computers purchased from Dell and under warranty.  To order from Dell, you must use the following special Premier page: Order from Dell.  This page will allow you to customize the specifications, but if you do so, you need to update the price via the button at the bottom of the page.  You should generate a detailed e-quote, attach a copy of it to your purchase requisition, and cite the e-quote number and the New York State Microcomputer Contract # PT55666 (Dell Contract # 70572) on the requisition.
