Add and Edit Content Directly
Carrying over from an improvement in Version 6.0, you can upload files, add content, or edit content in your Blackboard site without having to go through the Control Panel . The Edit View feature in Blackboard 6 allows you to modify your content quickly and easily.
To Add or Edit Course Materials using Edit View:
- Locate the section of your course that you want to edit or add materials to.
- Common sections in the Course Menu include Course Information, Documents, or Assignments.
- Click Edit View on the top right of the screen to access the Add tools.

- Select the type of content you'd like to add from the Add options by clicking on the option button. You can choose to add an Item (a text, graphic or other type of file), a Folder to organize course materials (including Items, External Links, Course Links and Tests), an External Link (a llink to another site), a Course Link to another section of your course, or you can add a Test. When you done editing your section, click on Display View.

NOTE: If you select the drop-down menu Learning Unit, you can also add a variety of communication tools and assignments that are also accessible from the Control Panel. Frequently used functions include:
