Create a Glossary in Your Course

Blackboard 6.3 now has a built-in glossary tool that can be developed and reused across subjects and disciplines.  The glossary is 'linkable' or 'clickable' and available through the Course Tools in both Faculty and Student Views.

1. In the Control Panel, under Course Tools, click on Glossary Manager.

2.  In the Glossary Manager, click on Add Term.

3.  Add your term and the definition into the boxes provided and click on the Submit button.

4.  The Glossary tool creates a linked set of terms and definitions ....

5.  Which are accessible in the Student and the Faculty Views from the Course Tools.

6.  To re-use your Glossary in other course, be sure to export it:  Control Panel > Course Options > Export Course; select the Glossary checkbox when you export.  You can then reimport this course content - but select Import Package.
