The gradebook has been saved to a file that can be opened by Microsoft Excel.

To create a gradebook with this file on your computer, follow the instructions below.

  1. After saving the file, open Microsoft Excel or a similar program, and go to the File menu. Select Open. Browse to the file gb_export.csv.  On a Macintosh, this may be the only way to open the file, as the system may not automatically associate the saved file with Excel.
  2. Or, locate the directory where the file is saved and double-click the filename to launch it in Microsoft Excel.

Download Tip:  When downloading the gradebook, you may want to save it to a more permanent location, rather than the default location. This will help you locate the gradebook more easily once download is complete.

Mac Users:  Instead of clicking on "Download Gradebook" you should hold down the CTRL button while clicking on the "Download Gradebook" button and then select "Download link to disk" and choose where you wish to save the file on your computer.  Also be sure to save your Excel file in "CSV (Windows)" file format if you plan to modify the data and then import (upload) the file back into Blackboard.
