Baruch Computing and Technology Center (BCTC)
Microsoft Office and Exchange 2010 Deployment Project Page
BCTC is proud to announce the continued installation of Microsoft office 2010 (MS Office) for faculty and staff PC desktop systems and Microsoft Office 2011 for the Mac's. Earlier this summer, the installation of Office 2010 in all the computer labs and classrooms was completed. To continue the roll out of this new version of Office, we have been working with the technical coordinators of all the areas to schedule and complete this upgrade. The new version of Office replaces the older version (Office 2003 and 2007) that was currently installed on the desktop systems. The new version comes with a new easy to user interface, improved performance and new additional features with Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Outlook.
BCTC is offering workshops on Office 2010 for the PC in the next coming weeks. Please check below for the link on these workshops along with links for frequently ask questions, how-to-guides, and videos to assist you in learning the new version of MS Office.
Later this year, BCTC will begin to upgrade faculty and staff to our new and improved e-mail system, Exchange (Outlook) 2010. Building on the success of our current e-mail system Exchange 2003, the new version Exchange 2010 will offer increased functionality and performance, cleaner look and feel and overall improved user experience, including access your e-mail via the web. We look forward to sharing more information with you on our new e-mail system, please check back soon for more details.
