Baruchmail Upgrade (Office 365) - Fall 2013
Posted on October 25, 2013
UPDATE: The upgrade is complete and these changes are now available.
Microsoft will be upgrading our student email system (AKA Baruchmail) powered by Office365 in the coming weeks. The upgrade will not impact users in terms of access and will bring a visual upgrade that will be the foundation for future upgrades.
Here is what you need to know:
The top quick menu will receive a visual upgrade, giving you quick access to common features such as your email, calendar and contact (referred to as People). You can also sign out of your account be selecting your username or change your universal Office365 settings by clicking on the gear icon.
Microsoft now has a "Getting Started" screen that will detail you on what's included with Office365, how to setup Office on a PC and Mac, and finally, how to setup your mobile device for email access. You can view this at any time be selecting the gear icon, going into your Office365 settings and selecting "Getting Started" should you want to visit it again.
The Online tab will detail more information about the Office365 experience. You can check your email, watch an introductory video or learn more about what Office365 has to offer.
PC & Mac
This tab will give you step by step instructions and information on how to setup your desktop applications to work with Office365 if you have them already installed.
Phone & Tablet
Here you will find detailed instructions provided by Microsoft on how to configure for you Phone or Tablet for access to Office365.
