President's MessageDear Friends: It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Baruch College Alumni Association, as we are about to begin another exciting and challenging membership season. Since 1968, the enthusiastic and committed officers, directors, committee members and volunteers of the Baruch College Alumni Association (BCAA) have contributed to a legacy of support for the faculty, students and alumni of Baruch College. Our scholarships, grants, mentoring programs, career networking events and social activities have created important opportunities within the Baruch Community. During the past year, I have maintained a dialogue with Baruch College president Kathleen Waldron and various other representatives to see how we can be even more effective in our efforts to serve the Baruch community. It was not surprising to learn that our goals are remarkably similar even though the approach may differ. The biggest challenge before all of us is to create greater citizenship among the students who are our future alumni members and the next generation of funders for the greater college. Our Board of Directors has made a commitment to support the BCAA’s mission and to encourage many others, like you, to join us. The participation of alumni volunteers in various meetings, committees and activities has been vital to our success. Although it can sometimes be a lot of work, the opportunity to give back to the Baruch community has incalculable rewards. In closing, I want to take this occasion to thank you for becoming a member. We could not accomplish our goals without your financial investment in Baruch’s future. Sincerely, Doumer Isaac |
