Baruch College Alumni Association
The Baruch-in-Florida Chapter was started in the early 1980's by Barbara Yospe '57 who served as chapter president for many years. After moving to Boca Raton from New York, Yospe recalls, "I thought it would be a good idea to get a lot of the alumni together since many of them had done the same thing that I did by relocating. I contacted the college and they were very helpful in helping me found the chapter. The idea was met with such enthusiasm because everyone who had relocated had a desire to retain a link since we had gotten so much out of Baruch."
Barry Rabinowitz, President, since 2011 has energized the chapter. Committees have been formed to help set up new events and further the goals of the chapter. "We have an annual luncheon, foreign movie event, day at the races and a boat ride."
The goal of the organization is keeping in touch with alumni who have settled in Florida and opening communication between alumni, including encouraging connections between retired graduates and more recent ones, and keeping all alumni informed about Baruch College's ongoing evolution.
The chapter contributes money raised to help support the award winning William Newman library. The chapter hosts several get-togethers throughout the year, predominantly in Palm Beach, Broward and Dade counties in the southeastern part of the state. Events have included cocktail parties, brunches and talks given by speakers visiting from Baruch in New York.

National Capital Region Chapter (D.C.)
Attracting more Baruch graduates residing in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area through new types of events, in addition to the annual gala brunch, is Chapter President Abe Akresh's goal. Describing this lively group of Baruch grads, Akresh notes:
"The Washington, DC National Capital Region Chapter represents the interests of local alumni, providing a forum for camaraderie, social interaction, business and professional networking, education and other activities for alumni in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. We provide benefits to members by conducting programs, networking, publishing a newsletter, and maintaining a web site.

School Of Public Affairs Alumni Affiliate
On a crisp Friday evening in November, School of Public Affairs students and alumni gathered in the Oak & Marble Rooms at 137 East 22nd Street to hear a panel of four SPA alums describe professional life after Baruch College and how networking has helped forward their careers. The presentations were followed by lively Q & A. Afterwards alumni and current students chatted, enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and exchanged business cards. The informative event, sponsored by the SPA Career Services Office, struck the perfect balance between the practical and the social.

Zicklin School Of Business Graduate Alumni Club
Be informed, involved, entertained and networked!!
The Zicklin Club sponsors its own seminars and participates in events organized by other New York Business School alumni groups, events which club members can attend through an arrangement with The New York Business School Clubs (NYBSC).
The Club was inspired by an idea of Economics Professor Howard Ross and founded in the early 1990's by a group of executive MBA alumni. In 1997, it expanded to include all MBA's and business school graduates of Baruch College. "Our goal has always been to build a community of alumni," says ex-officio President David Levine (EMBA-10). "Eventually, we'd like to see chapters develop throughout the US and beyond."
