Corporate Governance Evening Seminar Series
"Improving Governance and Long-term Corporate Performance in an Age of Transparency” is sponsored by Baruch’s Robert Zicklin Center for Corporate Integrity. Corporate Governance in the new age of transparency is faced with not only protecting the immediate interests of shareholders but of moving to protect the long run sustainability of the corporation. How are well-run boards dealing with the challenges of activist hedge funds, increased shareholder scrutiny of management actions and the current outcry over apparently excessive compensation for executives? How can boards add shareholder value through improved corporate strategies and reputation? Our expert panelists will cover best practices for corporate managers, boards of directors and shareholders in the evolving marketplace.
CLE, CPE, and ISS credits are available. Click here for the full program and registration information http://zicklin.baruch.cuny.edu/centers/cci/events
The Arts
Attend a performance at the "BPAC"
Theater Discount
Baruch alumni ID holders can get $10 tickets (regularly $59) for MCC Theatre productions at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, 121 Christopher Street. We get the discount as a result of BPAC’s relationship with MCC, an award-winning theatre company. The current show is “Reasons to Be Pretty.” Neil LaBute’s bristling new comic drama puts the final ferocious cap on a trilogy of plays that began with The Shape of Things and Fat Pig. America’s obsession with physical beauty is confronted headlong in this brutal and exhilarating new play. Check www.mcctheater.com for the performance schedule (performances begin May 14). To buy tickets at the $10 price, use code RPBA at Ticket Central, 212-279-4200 or www.ticketcentral.com.
Visit Baruch College's Mishkin Gallery
The Mishkin Gallery is located at 135 East 22nd Street (between Lexington and Third Avenues). Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, noon to 5 pm; Thursdays, noon to 7 pm. All exhibitions are free.
