The Baruch Benchmark Society derives its name from alumnus and statesman Bernard Baruch's penchant for conducting meetings outside on a park bench. The term benchmark was chosen not only because it honors the College's namesake, but also because it defines a level of quality or standard against which we measure our quality and success. What better way to honor those who leave a legacy to the nation's largest business school.
Gifts through one's estates are usually reserved for those closest to us, starting with our families, so we are very moved when an individual makes the decision to include Baruch College in this privileged, inner circle.
Membership
We are honored that so many individuals have made an ultimate gift to Baruch by including us in their estate plans through a bequest, trust, gift annuity or another planned giving vehicle.
Baruch Benchmark Society members receive a lovely membership pin and are recognized in our Benchmark newsletter and College-wide publications. They receive invitations to special events including an annual reception held each fall for Baruch Benchmark members.
Perhaps, you've already included The Baruch College Fund in your estate plans, through a bequest or other means. If so, please let us know. We will be delighted to welcome you into the Baruch Benchmark Society.
