Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students from around the world are eligible to apply to the Baruch Leadership Academy.
Competitive applications are reviewed on a rolling admissions basis. Students will receive an admissions decision via email within two weeks and postal mail within four weeks of submitting all Application Materials.
2018 Program Cost:
Attending the Academy will help a student’s application stand out as it is an intensive extracurricular activity. Students who complete the Academy receive a letter of recommendation, which can be submitted when applying to Baruch College or any other institution.
Applications are reviewed once all Application Materials have been received. It is recommended that students send in all of their Application Materials at once. Students are encouraged to complete the online application and essay prior to submitting their recommendation forms and transcript.
A limited number of need-based, partial scholarships (ranging from $250-$1,000) are granted based upon demonstrated financial need and availability of funding. In order to be considered for a scholarship, students must first apply to Academy. If accepted, students should email firstname.lastname@example.org to request a scholarship application.
A $250 discount will be applied for each sibling admitted into our program in a given year. Parents/guardians should email email@example.com to request a sibling discount if they have more than one child attending Academy.
CUNY Employee Discount
Children of full-time CUNY employees who are admitted to Academy are eligible to receive a $250 discount on the program cost. Parents/guardians who may be eligible for this discount should email firstname.lastname@example.org from an official CUNY-issued email address to request this discount. Additional supporting documentation may be requested.
High school students seeking financial aid may consider applying to Baruch Leadership Academy through Wishbone. Wishbone is a nonprofit organization that helps high school students with limited financial resources pursue their passion by helping them attend high-quality summer programs.
To qualify, you must apply to Wishbone by December 8. Applicants must be eligible for the Federal Free or Reduced Price Lunch Program, and live in one of the following regions: New York City, Connecticut, SF Bay Area, or Los Angeles.

The Academy takes place at Baruch College's midtown Manhattan campus. The College's Vertical Campus, located on 24th Street and Lexington Avenue is the headquarters for our Academy classrooms.
All course materials and books are provided to students at the Academy.
Lunch is provided on Fridays. Students have free time to eat lunch at one of our neighboring establishments on Mondays - Thursdays.
