Baruch College Ranks Among Top Ten "Best Bang for the Buck" Schools by Washington Monthly
Secures Top Spot in First-Generation Performance Rankings
NEW YORK, NY- August 31, 2016-Washington Monthly has ranked Baruch College #8 in providing the “Best Bang for the Buck” in the Northeast region of the United State in its “2016 College Guide and Rankings.” This top-ten ranking places Baruch College ahead of Princeton University, Colgate University, and Yale University and #3 among public institutions in the Northeast.
Additionally, Baruch College secured the top spot in “First-gen Performance” rankings. Washington Monthly also ranked Baruch among the “Best Colleges for Adult Learners-4 Year Colleges” with the College nabbing a spot in the top 50. This year is the debut of the nation’s first-ever ranking of the best colleges for adult learners.
Baruch College has consistently been recognized as an affordable institution which provides a high quality education. In March 2016, Baruch was nationally recognized by the Department of Education as excelling in access to affordable education and student success.
According to the Washington Monthly, it has been releasing its annual College Guide and ranking since 2005, where it “rates schools based on what they are doing for the country.”
Its “Best Bang for the Buck” rankings “help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices.”
