Baruch College President, Dr. Mitchel B. Wallerstein Appointed to CRDF Global Advisory Council



 

NEW YORK, NY- June 21, 2016–Baruch College President, Dr. Mitchel B. Wallerstein has been appointed to the CRDF Global Advisory Council. He joins six other distinguished new members to the council from the higher education and science fields.

“It’s a great pleasure to welcome these seven distinguished leaders in science and technology engagement to the CRDF Global Advisory Council,” said John Hurley, Interim President and CEO, CRDF Global. “Our efforts to promote cross-border collaboration between scientists and innovators are having impacts all over the world. I’m confident that these new additions to the Advisory Council will further enable CRDF Global to achieve our mission of promoting peace and prosperity through international science collaboration.”

CRDF Global, whose vision is to promote peace and prosperity through international science collaboration, is an independent, nonprofit organization established in 1995 by the National Science Foundation. The organization has 20 years of experience managing international research funding programs and supporting emerging science and technology infrastructure in more than 40 countries in Eurasia, the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. CRDF Global was originally named the U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation.
