New York, NY - April 27, 2017 - The Master of Financial Engineering Program at Baruch College’s Weissman School of Arts and Sciences reported that 99 percent of graduates received and accepted job offers within three months of receiving their degrees between January 2015 and January 2017.
Of the 94 graduates, 82 were seeking employment following graduation and 81 were placed by this past March, according to the program’s employment report for 2015-2017. The remaining 12 graduates in the graduating class remained with their current employers.
“This most recent employment report clearly demonstrates our MFE students’ upward mobility in the financial job market as shown by enviable job offers and ever more impressive career starts,” said Dan Stefanica, PhD, co-director of the MFE program. “Furthermore, we are equally proud of the continued success of our alumni who are also on ascending tracks in their careers.”
This year’s graduating students accepted job offers from such prestigious companies as Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, PwC, Citigroup, and EY. The average guaranteed compensation to start was pegged at $121,000, and at $210,000 on the high end.
